National heritage day.

Today, it was "National heritage day" and I chose to visit an abbey with my son and his foreign girlfriend and a very ancient place, which was a farm and dates back to the templars days.
I fall in love with these roses!!!
It was a rainy and cold day, so it was nice to have a good fire.
An ancient religious tapestry
The abbey and it's garden.
We added culture and nature on our day . It will continue tomorow "BUT" the rain continues too....Good weekend!

Hello Catherine!
What a beautiful place...I love the round walls and the roof of the turret. We just don't see buildings like that over here at least not that old. The roses in that painting are gorgeous and the gardens are lovely..I bet it is beautiful in the summer. Happy National Heritage Day!

Gorgeous photographs and I love the contrast between the stark buildings and the luscious fruit! Those red stalks are amazing!

Dear Catherine,

La journée du patrimoine is a great idea, isn't it?

Your photographs are fantastic. Where exactly is this place? It looks familiar.

I can spy some Bright Lights Swiss Chard in that potager too. Splendid.

Bonne semaine,
