Photos of Colmar xmas market(Maud's pictures, part one)

My daughter Maud, just came back last night from the Christmas markets in Alsace. She just e-mailed me some pictures i wanted to share with you.
This is Colmar, it was very cold , but beautiful under the snow.
I love that place in Colmar.
Last night we did not have electricity until 11 this morning , because of the snow on the outdoor lamps in the garden ! I did not tell you , but on xmas eve the boiler had problems and i had to call, there was soot all over the place, fortunately i cooked most of the xmas meal in advance because i had to do some cleaning (and i must do the rest now). Well i was despared this morning, it was so cold, in these case you realise you can't make a coffee, can't take a shower...Then the electrician arrived...and i was feeling better, had my coffee...Well i wonder what is going to happen again before the end of the year???

Merci Catherine pour ces merveilleuses photos de Colmar en habit de fêtes. De plus , cette année, la neige était abondante. Je reconnais ces rues superbes et cela me fait beaucoup de plaisir.
Bonne année à vous Catherine!!

Oh what a magical place, that must be, to visit!

Oh my! Furnace and electricity problems, in deep Winter. -sigh-

I certainly hope that you will only get 2 bad things, in a row. Not the 3rd, which it's said, often comes. I understand how you dread it. But please, don't put that dread, out into the Universe. :-)

Gentle New Year's hugs...

The town looks like a village in a fairy tale...just enchanting. I am so sorry about your heating...I hate to be cold, and there is nothing worse than being in a cold house. Hope you have everything up and working again...and it stays that way.

We are unfortunately too much dependent from electricity, but nowadays we cannot do differently, we are not like pioneers. ;D
I am happy all is ok, so you can take your cup of coffee and use your oven for your beautiful cookies!
I really love the pictures of Colmar, it must be a magical place, it seems to be in a Harry Potter story!
Thank you so much Catherine for showing to us.
Happy new year to you and your family!
